The show

This time-bomb of a musical tells the story of Richard 1, crossing through Europe
to fight against the Saracens in the Third Crusade.

It was written as a celebration of the life and times of this legendary war-faring monarch who would stop
at nothing to conquer in the name of Christianity.

Following on from the story in the film ‘A Lion in Winter’, the show is a sung-through musical mcgrigor.gif (53774 bytes)with an operatic
structure in 5 acts, each act representing a different country.

It is an action-packed family show, with some horrid and amusing characters, a large cast, sword-fighting and lots of exciting special effects! The memorable songs are written in both classical and popular styles, with tastes of the Middle East too.

you will come away singing your heart out and cherish it for years!
